CMM/CMMI Certification
BSEAC is China's first organization to formally introduce Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) into the country. In May 2000, BSEAC was entrusted by the Chinese government to organize an international conference on CMM and China Software Industry Development, and ever since, BSEAC has become a national leader in the process improvement business in China.
BSEAC's core strength lies in its outstanding resources of experts from both China and abroad. Its exclusive business partner, Reuters Limited, is the world's largest financial information provider with nine software development centers certified asworldwide, among which two are CMMI ML5-rated. Partnering with Reuters allows BSEAC to access Reuters' invaluable resources of 8 SEI-authorized CMMI lead appraisers and 4 "Intro to CMMI " instructors.
BSEAC provides clients with appropriate, tailored training, consulting and appraisal services to help them improve efficiency, quality and reduce cost. Its CMMI service includes CMMI executive training for Management, GAP analysis, CMMI Trainings and Process Area Development, Readiness Review, Mini Assessment and SCAMPI Assessment.
BSEAC's satisfied clients include Lenovo, UFSoft, Kingsoft, AIAIT, SonyEricsson Newsky, Asia Star, Microlink, GCTech, Hollybridge, SureKAM, etc and many other well-known Chinese and international software companies and integrators. Among them, Lenovo was China's first domestic company to achieve CMM L2 in 2001 and Newsky became China's first CMMI ML5 company in 2003.

What is "CMMI "?
The CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration), product suite provides an integrated approach to process improvement, reducing the redundancy, complexity and cost when using separate, multiple capability maturity models (CMMs) .CMMI was developed by Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute. It builds on the Capability Maturity Model for Software 2.0 draft (SW-CMM ), EIA interim standard 731 (Systems CMM) and the Integrated Product Development Capability Maturity Model (IPD-CMM). It's also compatible to ISO15504. The potential users of the model include government institutions, software and hardware development companies.
SEI released CMMI 1.1 in December, 2001 and officially announced that they will only support CMMI in the future, after 2005.
The CMMI includes a common set of process areas that form the core of an integrated capability model integrating process improvement guidance for systems engineering, software engineering, and Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD). CMMI includes both a continuous representation of the process areas and a staged representation. CMMI can serve as a guide and a framework for process development and improvement, and it can be used to improve the return on investment for process improvement. CMMI can be tailored to an organization's mission and business goals.
CMM and CMMI are registered marks of Carnegie Mellon University .
